This policy explains what data maildigi processes and why.
Who we are
maildigi is operated by egob, LLC, 2810 N Church St, Ste 90421, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States. Contact: contact@maildigi.com.
What we process to provide the service
- The business address and the personal address it forwards to, and the confirmation that you control the personal address.
- Messages to your business address and your replies, while they are being delivered.
- For each conversation, the address of your contact and a random reply key, so that your replies reach the right person.
- An activity log without message content: time, direction, size and result.
Why
We use this data only to deliver messages and replies, to keep the service secure, and to prevent misuse. We do not use message content for advertising, profiling or any other purpose, and we do not sell data.
Legal basis
- Delivering messages and replies: providing the service you or your business signed up for (performance of a contract).
- Security, misuse prevention and the activity log: our legitimate interest in a safe and reliable service.
- Billing records: our legal obligations.
Our role
When a business uses maildigi, we handle the content of its correspondence on its behalf and only to deliver it. For account, security and billing data, egob, LLC decides how the data is used.
How long
- Message content: not kept after delivery.
- Large attachments: 14 days, encrypted.
- Messages waiting for a retry: up to 24 hours, encrypted.
- Activity log: 30 days.
- Conversation records: deleted 90 days after the address is closed.
- Account and billing records: as long as the law requires.
Service providers
maildigi runs on the network, email and storage services of Cloudflare, Inc. Data may be processed in the countries where these services operate, and egob, LLC is based in the United States. Cloudflare processes this data under its data processing addendum, which includes the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. We share data with other parties only when the law requires it.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider processes technical request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect them from attacks.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to object to its use. Write to contact@maildigi.com. If a business uses maildigi for its email, please contact that business first about messages you exchanged with it. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
maildigi is a service for businesses and is not directed at children.
